Bells of Ireland 2021

Bells of Ireland are a symbol of good luck, so naturally they’re a favorite at Florage. These tall, lime green spires are adorned with papery bell-shaped calyxes and tiny white flowers. They have a kinda spicy, kinda minty smell, and even though they look like they were plucked from a Celtic fantasy, they are native to Western Asia. Florage grew Bells of Ireland both in our high tunnels and outside in the crisp Idaho air. Bells of Ireland work beautifully in a variety of bouquets, and our florist fell in love with these versatile blooms. Bells of Ireland, also called shell flowers, can be enjoyed fresh or dried.
